Forgotten

this is one of the first pieces i have done where i deliberately kept it low detail. i wanted the idea to speak louder than the details that could (if i were to draw them) divert from the original thought.
it actually started as a sketch of a nest and then an egg. when i had outlined the tree i thought of this idea and continued until it was finished. the lonely egg sits in it's nest with no mother to warm it nor take it away from the snow that falls quietly to bury it.
